Response from Jim Haywood #2

Got comments, complaints, suggestions, etc. regarding my letters or Jim's? Please send them to me at acefrombbc@gmail.com - I'd love to hear from you...good stuff and bad!

Jim's Response on the SavingBellevue Website:

"Some people Mr. Ace are playing cards and others are playing monopoly. I am not playing any games. No matter what I say I can't beat you. Therefore, I am not going to waste my time answering any more of your emails. As much as Bellevue Pays you, do they know what you are spending your time on? God does.

Jim Haywood

Ace's emailed response to Jim Haywood:

Why are you not going to reply to my message? I am not playing any games with you, these are legitimate concerns. Have I hit a sore spot? I have gotten lots of emails as a result of your post and people are wondering why you won't address the issues I emailed you. I am quick to provide an answer to them for you, since you can't seem to find the words for your own response. It's your call, but people are waiting to see what you have to say.

At least give me the courtesy and send a private response.

And who says I work for Bellevue? Thanks for proving my point that your website is full of gossip and lies.

Jim Haywood's Response To That Email:

I will be removing from the fron page all of Alias ACE and Jim Barnwell stuff tomorrow. Hope this satisfies you.
Jim Haywood

Ace's Response to this blog:

We'll see how Haywood handles the issue about Jim Barnwell. As for my letters, I stand by everything I've said and it was proven that his "copyright exceptions" and his video camera story are just ways he is seeking attention and trying to stir up more trouble. He was wrong on that issue, yet the pages still remain up on his site. He said he's going to remove the stuff from the front page. Let's see if Jim Haywood is going to continue to deceive the public by just moving it over to his "featured stories" page.

Open Letter #2 to Mr. Jim Haywood

Open Letter #2 to Mr. Jim Haywood

From Ace:
acefrombbc@gmail.com

Jim,

First of all, I must admit I was not expecting a reply from you and it caught me by surprise, so thank you for replying. On top of that, as an addd bonus, you posted my letter on your site. That is truly remarkeable, I must admit. So thank you for for doing both of those things. Below you will find my response to your response....I will address the points in my letter in the order that you addressed the points in your last message.

First of all, are you sure that you have never contacted any of the local TV stations? You said you didn't do it to "exploit" savingbellevue.com, but did you do it to address the issues in the church? And then while you did the interview, you decided to give savingbellevue.com a plug? And you state that you "may have" contacted the media to return a phone call. Let's be completely honest, here, alright? You either did call them or you didn't....there shouldn't be any "may haves" - at least in my mind, there shouldn't. It should be a pretty concrete statement. And that's all I really have to say about that. I think you are being truthful with those statements, but a little...deceiving. If I am incorrect on that, then I apologize.

Now...let's talk about the book deal. You said you charged him $125 for web space and said that you pay almost $400 a year for your sites. If those are honest figures, I think $125 is a rip-off for Mr. Russell, and $400 is a rip-off for yourself. Do you have a dedicated server or something? Because you could get PLENTY of web space and bandwidth to cover all of your sites for $15 a month which would essentially be $180 for the year...half of what you are paying. There are plently of reputable hosts that offer these low prices compared to what you're paying. Email me and I'd be happy to recommend a few to you. So with that being said, after I look at Mr. Russell's site, for web space only, it looks like there is no more than 2MB of files on the page....which a site with that little file sizes could be hosted for less than $3 a month....$36 for the year. I'm not saying you're scamming him, I'm just saying I think YOU are being scammed and in effect, you midjudged the price on which you should charge him, esentially mischarging him.

Now regarding your expenses, you first state that "meet him a Danvers in which he bought my supper" then later you list $5 as a business expense to show that you're not making a profit....I just want to point on that you said one thing then another...but I'll let it slide this time. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you payed $5....in my opinion, that's not a good expense to list because you did get dinner out of the deal...but whatever. And thank you for letting me know what you ate. Anf if I may inquire, what salad dressing did you use? And he payed the bill with cash? While I appreciate your honesty and detail, please know that you don't have to be *that* detailed with me unless you just have the urge to be!

Speaking of Mr. Russell, yes, I have been following the site for several months now and notice the constant changes. You said you already paid $130 for the hosting....again, I think that is an incorrect amount, but I have already addressed that issue. Something has to be wrong here, though....$130 for less than 3MB of files just isn't right. And I would love his phone number, could you please send it to me?

As for your spelling issues...Frontpage has an excellent feature called Spell Check....try it out sometime. It's the F-7 key.

Now, regarding the website counter....you pay $19.95 per month for the extra report? Wow...is that really nessecary though? Why does it even matter how many people view your site? I think by having a counter it says, "hey, look how great this site is, it has XXX,XXX hits! We are the best!" There should be a way in your options to "hide" the counter....I challenge you to use that option on your website. Let the stats be known to you and you alone. You now have an Excel file of 300,000 more hits? Now - let's break down that file. How many UNIQUE visitors or there in that file? And what I mean by that is this....if I visited your site 377 times personally, that would only count as one hit...because it's per visitor. And I would love to take a look at that file for myself, but there is no way I will ever go to your home. You'll have your video camera ready and will post me on your site...and that isn't going to happen!

Oh...speaking of video cameras, regarding the "camcorder incident" you posted on your site...here's the deal on that. I just realize I never completely finished my thoughts in my last letter to you. You posted your story at http://www.savingbellevue.com/camcorderincident.htm --- Then you posted copyright exceptions at http://www.savingbellevue.com/copyrightslaw.htm

I'll have you know this.... Bellevue Baptist Church is private property. And because of that, recording restrictions CAN indeed be placed on the premises and there is absolutely no legal backing saying that they are forced to allow someone to record. Not the news media, and definately not you.

And that's where your "copyright exception" page comes into play. Are you an expert in the field of law? I highly doubt that... so I'll clear this up for you. The page you put up only describes what can be done with a work ALREADY CREATED to which one does not own the copyright, and has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether or not somebody can create a work and where. Sorry, buddy. Nice try but you were wrong. I anticipate you to remove that deceiving information off of your website soon....

Now, I'm sure you've received a ton of emails...some probably praising you and some attacking you. You are of course under no obigation to reply to hate mail, but you should at least give people the common courtesy of letting them know they get your suggestions when it comes to stuff other than gossip/rumors/lies. Otherwise, put up a disclaimer on your site saying not all emails will be replied to. You just "pick and choose" what YOU want to deal with and ignore the stuff that makes you look bad....which is quite sad, if you ask me.

About the picture you put up...thank you for the apology and admitting it was a mistake. I'll leave that issue at that. Here's another question for you...Josh Manning is your friend, right? I'm wondering if he paid you for his website for hosting and webspace? He is on your server....that's the only reason I'm asking. And concerning Mike Bratton, I have never seen any bad comments directed towards you on his site. Don't rely on the word of others, that's how rumors start, you know? Go to your site for yourself to see what is being said about you.

Well, I will wrap this up since it has been rather long already...I thank you again for your reply and I look forward to hearing your response to this email.

Your friend,
Ace

Jim's Response to Letter #1

Mr. ACE 01/1707 12:09 AM

I generally would not respond to posts like you are putting out. I have only spent about 30 minutes total on the blog you post to. Someone called me and read me what you said and tonight copied it and posted it below past my response.

I have never contacted any of the local TV stations to exploit savingbellevue.com

I may have returned a call to one of them when they left a request on my answering machine.

As for the book deal. A Germantown Baptist Member had Office Max or Kinkos copy and bind information about Germantown Baptist Church's problems last year. He contacted me to set up a web site. I did this for him and charged him 125.00 for web space in which I pay almost $400.00 a year for for my sites. I also charged him $6.50 for the domain name for a total of $131.50. the domain name cost me $6.50 Mr. Russell gave me $140.00 when he paid me and had me meet him a Danvers in which he bought my supper which was soup and a salad which cost less than $5.00. I drank water. He paid the bill with cash.

I went to his house which is about 20 miles one way for me and my truck gets about 12 miles to a gallon.

I have been to his house three times. Maybe I have driven 150 miles total with regard to this project.

Mr. Russell has a lot of problems with a computer and he has changed his mine about five times on what he wants on his site after I spent allot of time getting it up. I have spent about 20 hours working on this. It should have only been about 5 hours. Mr. Russell brought me a tin of fudge etc. his wife made a few days ago. He knew from his very first visit with me he was not expected to pay a dime for my help but for the domain name and hosting only. Mr. ACE if you want his phone number ask me and I will provide.

So here is my estimate of compensation.

Gas 13 gallons at $2.25 for a total of $29.00

(No mileage figured in for vehicle)

$140.00 received for site costs I paid out about $130.00 for $10.00 profit

Meal at Danvers $5.00

Tin of fudge and pecans . I have no idea. I can't eat them by the way we both are diabetics.

So it looks to me like I am -$14.00 in the hole + 20 hours time so far.

As for spelling, You have me pegged.

As for the web site counter. I pay 19.95 per month for a very extensive report. It even tells me the minute a person logs in as well as there IP address, The pages they visited and how long. It even tells me the operating system they are using. And Mr. ACE it recorded you the 15th PM as well. This information I down load every day and it goes into excel. The file I have was started after someone tampered with the counter I believe the counter was on 160,000 at that time.

163,725 visitors before joining Site Meter on October 9, 2006

He ran the counter up about 50,000 numbers when I caught it and I moved the counter back to subtract his mischief deeds, further than what it was when I last saw it before the attack.

Therefore I have an excel file of 300,000 or more on the new counter that can not be run up. If you would like to see these files I will show it to you in my home. Provided you don't come with a hood over your face. Excel want hold all records as one file so there is a number of them broken down by minute by minute account.

As for being a nobody here again you are correct. I am still a nobody. I also am a very poor web administrator. I receive allot of email from people who would like to help me make it look good. Some are down right insulting to me as well.

As for the 10,000 hit day, I was amazed.

The picture you talked about yes I goofed.

I read that Mandatory Deacon Pledge One night about Midnight and it made me mad. It was just like a Dictator type thing .they wanted our Deacon's to sign. So I found that picture to express my feelings it was a hooded bunch of men saluting with a straight out arm. I put it up about Midnight and at 8:16 AM the next morning I took it down when Josh Manning emailed me and reprimanded me. I took it off at that time.

I am 60 years old and that Josh is 24 years old. I am amazed at that man's wisdom and integrity.

I looked at my web report and less than 200 people had been on the site by 8:30 AM that could have seen it. One that did was Mike Bratton and he copied it and put it on his site I was told. I don't go to his site but he may have felt the same way I did even though I have heard he sometimes says some bad things about me.

As for me starting savingbellevue.com I did this to keep Jim Barnwell from buying up all of the names similar to this. I was looking on the Internet Name Look ups to see if anyone started a web site opposing the Rick Warren stuff at Bellevue . This was August 20 2006. To my surprise I found that Jim Barnwell bought four (4) web sites a week earlier on Aug 12th 2006 one was www.savebellevue.com, and another www.savebellevuebaptistchurch.com. Jim Barnwell didn't host these sites only just bought the names. They are not linked above.

The address listed for Barnwell 's Domains was at a Bartlett address, his personal address I presumed.

I would have never bought www.savingbellevue.com if Jim Barnwell hadn't bought those others. I suppose he knew something very wrong was going on at Bellevue and he didn't want anyone to have a site to counter what was going on with a web site.

You will notice most every article on www.savingbellevue.com has a real name or source about the article. That is what I require.

Jim Haywood

Open Letter #1 to Jim Haywood

Without a doubt, most people here visit savingbellevue.com often. I know that site is not affiliated with this one, but site visitors here also go there on a regular basis. Because of that, many people here often praise Jim Haywood for his website and for "revealing the truth." People act like Jim is so great and all-knowing but I've learned about about Jim over the past few months and he is far from that. Instead, I have learned that he is a deceiver and liar. Below is an open letter to Mr. Haywood to show others exactly where his motives currently are. If anyone has comments on the letter, please feel free to send them to acefrombbc@gmail.com - Thank you.

An Open Letter To Jim Haywood:

Dear Jim,

I can't help but keep thinking about your website. Often I wonder what your purpose behind the site is. You claim in your website's mission statement your desire for the site is to "honor Jesus Christ." You also claim that it exists to "provide members of Bellevue Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee with a greater degree of visibility of the government of our church." After reading those two statements, I chuckled to myself because your site has not done either of those items, but quite the opposite. I have compiled a list of points to address with you from the past several months just to show you where your true intentions are or at least how they are coming across to many people.

The first point I'd like to address is the "popularity" of your website. You sure are enjoying it, aren't you? Fact: Who called Action News 5 to tell them about the site and issues surrounding Bellevue Baptist Church? Why...it was none other than you. Fact: Who contacted the Commercial Appeal and other media outlets? Why...it was none other than you. You have your little website, so why did you need to feel the need to contact the media? Oh wait, it's because you want the attention. That's exactly your problem. You are starved for attention. Not many people knew your name prior to the controversy you started. But now, you seem to be a household name for Bellevue members. Honesty - do you enjoy that attention? Of course you do, it's only natural...and that's where the bigger problem is. You can't "let go" of the attention. You feel like you are celebrity and everyone admires you....I can assure you, Jim, that is not the case. So, suggestion number one from me to you....lose the ego. It's not about you, Jim.

More proof that you are enjoying the attention: Recently after the news media reported some more information, your site got a lot of hits. So what do you do the next day? Post in big red letters the main page: "Over 10,000 hits Thursday." That showed to me, among many others, that your desire is to not show others the truth, but this is a publicity and attention thing for you. Think about it, Jim...that's pathetic. Just like your site counter. Why don't you post a little message on your website saying about 200,000 of those hits were from the same person because your counter wasn't tracking unique visitors when it first started off (and it still doesn't) and somebody exposed that on your site. Oh wait - that would make yourself look bad...and we wouldn't want that, would we?

Now, let’s shift the focus to the lies that have come from your website. I love it how you have all your 50 point font, color red headlines for your lies. You keep it up to destroy the church, yet once it’s proven wrong you remove it and act like you’re all about the truth. Do you not verify your information before you post it? Or just because you get something “juicy” it has to be posted immediately? You really don’t make much sense, Jim. What about the credit card charges that you claimed Gaines used for personal stuff? You were proven wrong, buddy. Have you ever apologized to anyone for the people you hurt by posting this rumor? What about the time when you posted someone’s name and then a statement saying, “He has chosen not to return our phone calls.” Maybe that person didn’t return your phone calls, because you never made any calls in the first place? Your website is deceiving, and YOU are a deceiver, Jim. I have you figured out, though, and soon others will realize that you are a liar. Oh, and what about that time when you posted that highly offensive picture of the Nazi salute and compared that to Gaines and the people of BBC??? How many people know of that?

Another point to talk about – how do you choose which of your emails you respond to? Because I have it from a number of people that when people criticize your site, you don’t reply. When people send you a question about yourself or site, you don’t reply. When people give you site suggestions, you don’t reply. But…wait a second. Somebody just sent you a juicy piece of gossip (a lie)…so what do you do? You reply and you post your headline within minutes before verifying anything. That’s unbelievable. Why do you do that? Oh wait, we already covered that…you’re attention starved.

Moving on… How do you think others would feel if they knew you were trying to make money off of the whole ordeal surrounding Bellevue right now? Do you think most people would agree or disagree that you should do that? Why don’t you make an announcement on your website linking to your other website in the making…you know, the one where you’re helping with the publishing of a book on how to avoid what’s going on? You better hurry up on that project….and for anyone else reading this, don’t forgot to pre-order your copy on how to avoid the purpose driven church from Mr. Haywood + friends for only $21 per book. If you order two books, you can save $2 and pay only $39!!! I can smell it now…cha-ching in your pocket, Jim….cha-ching….

There is so much else I could address but I’ll end with your latest incident regarding the camcorder and you’re told you’re not allowed to record the service. What makes you more special than FOX13 or News Channel 3? They aren’t allowed to record the service, so why should Jim Haywood? My point exactly, you shouldn’t. Anyways, you post on your site the account of your morning worship service. First of all, somebody decided to sit next to you…*gasp* say, it isn’t so! Do you own a whole section in the Bellevue sanctuary that only you’re allowed to sit in? You’re the victim, aren’t you, Jim? You poor thing.

You need to quit the website….but should you decide to keep it up, here is some advice for you. 1) Take spelling lessons….you have too many grammatically errors on your site. 2) Don’t take verses out of context….that only makes you look foolish. 3) Grow up.

That’s all,
Ace
